Milano Moda Uomo, the bi-annual ready-to-wear presentation of Italy’s most important menswear maisons, has invited Korean designer Kang Dong-Jun to present his line, D.GNAK, for several consecutive seasons already.
D.GNAK is gaining global notoriety for consistently showing innovation through delicately balanced minimalist and geometric aesthetics within street-wear and formal silhouettes. The SS16 line consists of a slightly expanded color palette than seen in previous seasons with the introduction of luxurious blues and soft greys. The models stood at the Art Nouveau Castiglioni Palace adorned with golden face paint for the presentation, while the garments’ own metallic phoenix and dragon accents complimented the staircase’s biomorphic motifs. Kang has once again created a mystical harmony, and while this collection comes early in the Spring/Summer 2016 calendar, we can’t wait to see what he shows next.
