Using his last collection’s theme of rebirth as a jump-off point, KANG DONG JUN went all-out with an eerie set and sound for his Fall 2017 show. Clad in blacks and grays, models stepped out onto the runway with snowy hair and white contact lenses, bringing the ghostly concept of Fantasma, D.GNAK’s mantra this season, to life.

Despite a uniform color palette, the collection was obviously segmented. The first half had a stone-faced RYU WANKYU (@ryuwk) kicking off the show and leading a pack of models in sharp, tailored jackets and waist-cinchers. Towards the show’s midpoint came a more upbeat shift in music, along with a transition to streetwear: slouchy hoodies, bulky parkas and a surge of leather. In its entirety, the collection spotlighted imperfections, what with creased textures, uneven cuts and haphazardly trimmed pant hems.
