SEOUL FASHION WEEK FW17: MUNN
MÜNN Fall/Winter 2017 collection review.

A brand dedicated to challenging fashion’s familiarities, MÜNN’s shows make for an all new visual experience each season. Always adding a little bit of everything into their collections (last season gave us printed visors, embroidery rings sewn into garments and an unexpected wild card: a coffee sack turned shirt), this season worked houndstooth checks, wide-legged trousers and knits aplenty into the mix to craft a new breed of prep.
Designer HAN HYUNMIN made up for a primarily neutral palette in subtle wild cards: peeks of lush faux fur, colored leather gloves and occasional flashes of purple and yellow. Yellow most likely a political statement tied to the Sewol Ferry memorial ribbons and recent ousting of former President Park Geun Hae. Perhaps the most obvious scene stealer, however, were the scarves made to remind of jacket sleeves.
