Seoul Fashion Week SS17: 87MM
Designer Kim Won Joong may not know what he's doing but we like it.

87MM was one of the most interesting shows here at Seoul Fashion Week. Instead of being led to seats, the audience was assembled behind barricades as if they were about to witness a New York City street parade. As each of the 25 looks at “Memes” came down the runway we witnessed mashups of quotidian characters, such as the Peeping Tom x Salary Man, where a model strutted down clad in a trench-coat and boxers, with a briefcase in hand. A quirky affair indeed. However the collection didn’t fall into the trap of reading as costumes and although designer KIM WON JOONG declared, “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing” in the press release, his continuous experimentation show his progression as a versatile yet focused creative director.
